Our History

On March 1, 1975, June's Cakery opened in a small rental unit on the corner Cherry and Glenstone. Eighteen months later, we moved to our current location on East Division.

June built her business with her biggest fan, her husband Gordon, standing behind her every step of the way. From building our building and figuring taxes, to teaching and supporting her, he had prepared her to carry on after his passing in 1988. Carry on she did till 1996 when she joined him once again in December of 1996. I didn't know if we could continue without her, but we did and it's because I have the best customers in the world.

I had the privilege to work with both of my parents and I stand on their shoulders everyday. Without them, we would not be here today. Credit also goes to my beloved older sister Elaine who taught me about running a business after Mom's passing. I owe everything I have today to my wonderful family.

As we start the next 40 years, I am blessed to work with my sister Becky (the best mint maker around) . I am blessed to have a job that I love and that gives me the opportunity to help celebrate the big moments in the lives of my customers.

Thank you for letting us be a part of your celebrations, whether we bake and create your cakes or goodies, or help you find just the right supplies to make your own creations!
